HYP Helps to Fight Pennsylvania Drop Out Problem

I would like to thank the Harrisburg Young Professionals for its recent Date Night Charity.

The function raised $10,000 for Communities in Schools Pennsylvania.

CIS-PA has worked tirelessly to fight Pennsylvania’s tragic dropout problem.

Presently, one in five ninth-graders fails to graduate from high school in our state.

In addition, two in five minority students fail to graduate on time and 170 students drop out each day.

Having the support of good community organizations such as HYP will help us fight a problem that goes largely unnoticed in Pennsylvania. NATHAN MAINS President, Communities in Schools Pennsylvania Harrisburg
